Yummy Little Christmas

From my home to yours... wishing you all a wonderful Christmas!!

Since the Holiday Catalogue is about to retire (oh so some things are discounted.. check that out.) ... anyway.... we wanted to be sure the retiring Yummy Little Christmas images felt some love first. So my youngest daughter and I set to wrapping some Hershey Miniatures in a snowman printable which we found online then added some of the 'This Christmas DSP' for his hat and wrapping him in some ribbon for a scarf. They look so darling all lined up in a little bowl. Now... a card to go with them made from the Yummy Little Christmas stamp images .... or two....

We love how the 'Christmas Wishes' sentiment tag dangles loose from the 'Made with Love' jar sentiment.. it adds some interactive fun to that card.

For the 'It's the most decadent time of the year' sentiment card in order to thread the Calypso Coral twine around the one layer card I used the Label punch to snip a little corner out of the inside edge of the card and then threaded the twine through it and knotted the twine off under the mounted sentiment.

For both of these cards we loved using the new Stitched Shapes Framelits, they just make everything look more beautiful with no extra effort. Perfect?

I had to do my own in non-traditional christmas colors so that we could display it for more of the year which was a lot of fun .... everyone's ended up looking a little different from each others and every one a unique masterpiece. :)

Mother's Day Card

As we do the count down to the end of this current catalogue I enjoyed using some of the retiring colours that we are about to wave goodbye to in my Mother's Day card.

To create this card I trimmed an inch from the front of the card so that it would show the right hand inch from the inside panel of the card.

Closed this is what you see:

I enjoyed using a card sketch to create this Mother's Day card:
